DAY 1: Creating My Title, Subtitle, Cover, & Outline (ChatGTP Prompt to Help You With Outlining)
Mini Book 7 Day Challenge Day 1
Hey Mini Book Masters,
First day of the Mini Book 7 Day Challenge is in the books for me.
What I did is start with creating a POWER promise to the reader.
You’ll read all about how to do this with your own book in Chapter 1 of the book. (should see a draft of it tomorrow)
But what I figured up was,
Title
Subtitle
Cover
Once I had that, I tackled the outline of the book.
I’ll walk you through this entire process in the actual text of the book of how I did it, but here is a quick summary.
I chose 1 of the 3 mini book structures to serve as the bones of the book
I named all the chapter titles
Came up with 3 points for each chapter
Came up with 3 sub points for each point
I did that outlining in under 1hr using the Mini Book Straitjacket framework I’m walking you through in this challenge and in the book.
Awhile back I created a GPT instance using ChatGPT to guide me through my outlining process and I had forgotten I never tested it.
I used that and it was AMAZING!
You can find a link to the prompt and link to my GPT so you can use it to write your book if you are a premium subscriber at the bottom of this edition of the Mini Book Newsletter below.
Otherwise, just wait and I’ll walk you through it in the text of the book in a couple of days.
TITLE
I went with the name of my framework Mini Book Straitjacket as the title of the book.
SUBTITLE
I went with a subtitle as simple I could to convey the transformation/outcome the reader would experience if they buy, read, and apply my book. (more on that in tomorrows chapter!)
I had my ChatGPT prompt produce 10 versions of a subtitle idea and refined it from there.
COVER
This was super easy because I already had the Mini Book Model cover. I switched the pink background to white, white outline of the words to pink, and added Straitjacket to the name.
I went with a simple icon implying an outline with the dots and a pen writing to convey the dots allow you to write. It took me about 20 minutes to do three version of the cover and I decided on this one.
OUTLINE
Here is the outline I created using the ChatGPT Prompt.
To be clear, I came up with all of this. The prompt just asked me questions to guide me along in the process making it feel like a conversation rather than me in a bubble with a blank page. This is huge to realize, you are the brain, NOT the GPT.
I created this outline in under 1hr.
I will make changes as I’m writing if needed, but only a few minor ones.
